A collaborative informational exhibition on Ohio native plants and the teachings from Braiding Sweetgrass by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer. With three main themes: waterways, sustainable gardening and agriculture, and reciprocal relationships.
We incorporated quotes from Braiding Sweetgrass and statistics gathered by students for each section. Six key chapters from the book were highlighted as large banners. To engage visitors of all ages, we included several K–12 educational activities.
The exhibition emphasized Indigenous culture, featuring pumpkins, which are not native to Ohio but hold significance in Indigenous history. It also included displays about The Three Sisters and Skywoman Falling, both important stories in Indigenous tradition.
I was apart of the Branding Team, and helped research the colors, and type. I helped create the assets like the gradient, and different image traces of the flowers.
